My opponent's method starts with a possible reading and calls it a teaching. That skips the check the Bible itself gives us. Run the algorithm: (1) explicit God-language is normally the Father; (2) Jesus is called Son, Lord, and Messiah; (3) high passages need inference. Hebrews 1:8 quotes a royal psalm, Romans 10 uses "Lord" ambiguously, and Titus 2:13 depends on a grammatical rule and translation. Even granting those readings, John 17:3 and 1 Corinthians 8:6 still separate "the only true God" from Jesus. A possible reading isn't the Bible's teaching.
