Religion is a net positive on society and this is born out in multiple facets. In "The Anxious Generation" its shown that those who go to church regularly are more fulfilled, happier, and less depressed on average than those in their same age cohort. Religion also gives man a higher principled calling that allows him to not view himself as the center and instead call himself to serve others. Most of the great societies ever were centered around religion, such as Roman, Greece, Western Europe, and many of these societies rely on religion to ground their ethics and morals.
