I believe a universal basic income is a good policy as it provides just enough money for citizens to pay for basic needs. This is important as the largest minorities of populations around the world sit just below the poverty line, meaning they either work low-paying jobs, or are underprivileged in their past lives. A UBI is crucial as it provides money for these people to pay for food, water, healthcare and education. This means they have more money to spend personally! Improving one’s wellbeing, desires and imagination. Paying for basic needs also means that a community could face social and economic growth in the long-term. This is because if more people have access to these basic needs, it means more people are healthy, fed and well-educated, leading to a brighter future with more innovations and population growth.
