There should be a limit as sequels are often just continuations of the past series. As 1 or 2 are still acceptable, too many will often drag the plot on and result in the series becoming overly boring.

Opposition seems to have a wrong thinking about limiting sequels. It doesn't mean we are banning sequels. We are just setting a limit to the number of seasons or sequels. By doing so, we dont force directors to reboot or rename whatnot, instead we incentivise producers to deliver a happy ending for viewers who have devoted their time to get the outcome they want instead of never-ending mysteries which will cause interest to die out in no time.

Opposition doesn't at all elaborate how limiting causes a renaming of story, nor do they engage in my main point which is plots dragging. However, their main point only revolves around one single point which is to get new perspectives. This is untrue and can be swayed easily as what may seem like a new point of view is actually just an excuse to drag on the film and earn profit. Moreover, when there are too many sequels, it often dilutes the core motive or plot of the original movie and dramatically shifts to another new story that is completely unrelated.
