your so called “god” is not true, because if you’re saying your god i alive, why we have a poor nd rich if he say we are fair it comes to his love. why we do such thing bad if your god is true, why we judge somebody if your god is true. if your god is true, we need an evidence to say you're saying true right?

I think the practical upside of the atheist side is that people look to real-world fixes instead of waiting on religion for answers. That just seems more useful when something actually needs solving. I am not sure how to argue it beyond that, but it is my gut feeling.

Imagine a town with a broken water pump: one group prays and waits, another calls a repair crew, and the taps start working. My opponent makes a fair point about evidence, and I am not sure how to answer that. I just feel the repair crew approach is more useful.
