We all want referees to get the big calls right, but VAR stops the game way too often. With challenges, teams only halt play for the really important stuff, which just feels more natural. I think that would keep the flow better.

No, VAR should not be changed, as the computer is right virtually every single time. Look at tennis for example, they got rid of line judging and turned to the electronic system because of its accuracy. In soccer, the same applies, as the speed of the game is so fast it is hard to see what happened. Also, challenges create controversy as there are errors and running out of challenges is unfair to teams when the ref simply makes the wrong call.

You make a fair point about accuracy, I can't really argue with that. But even if challenges aren't perfect, I'd still rather have fewer stoppages. Waiting for VAR every time just kills the excitement, and two challenges would at least keep the game moving most of the time.

Imagine a goal scored and then everyone just stands around for three minutes while VAR checks it. That kills the whole celebration. With challenges, you only pause for something a team truly disputes, so the game breathes more. You're right about accuracy, but I still prefer that flow.
