My opponent still fails to respond to any of my contentions further weakening his argument. He thinks that his "gut" matters more than the genuine safety of our students and he even goes so far to agree with my point, which shows clear defeat on his side. I will know provide a rebuttal for my opponents statement. They say that phones are distracting in class but that claim is in fact highly subjective. My opponent assumes that every single teen on their phone will get distracted from it. A vast majority of students in school actually want to and are willing to learn. My opponent overlooks the fact that phones are a multi-use tool that can accelerate learning if used properly. The Central Rivers Agency of Academics strengthens my point as they most evidently say that "One of the biggest benefits of cellphones is their ability to give students access to educational resources. With just a few taps, students can research topics, use learning apps or watch instructional videos.". My opponent also forgets to mention that there is a do not disturb tool on the phone which was built for the very purpose to prevent distractions. My opponents selfish viewpoint and attitude on this topic clearly shows that my argument outweighs his in every single factor. Judge, please consider our students future generation by voting con.
