Israel has in no way commited a genocide against the people of gaza. hamas the organiztion supporting palestine intentionally sets up there camps in heavy civilian areas which will cause civilian deaths. if anything hamas itself are commiting war crimes by putting these people in danger but im curious to see your definition of a genocide.

I read that something like most buildings in Gaza are damaged or destroyed now, which is hard to wrap my head around. That seems to go past war to me. I'm honestly not great at arguing this, but that's my gut feeling.

while your correct in that most of the buildings in gaza are destroyed i read roughly 60-70% of buldings have been damaged. its not just israel. a war has two sides and both israel and palestine have contributed to the damage. But your point does not bring up genocide or how israel has commited any crimes against humanity.

What you're getting wrong is treating Hamas's tactics as a free pass. Sure, hiding among civilians is awful, but that doesn't erase flattening all of Gaza. I can't argue details, but wiping out a people sounds like genocide to me.

but its a war. obviously the ground where the war stands will be destroyed. also the war is only being contiued by iran and hamas. israel has offered land for all religions to pray on for years but iran is selfish and wants it all to themselves.

Fair point that Hamas shares blame for putting people in danger. I still can't shake the feeling that when a group's whole home is destroyed and they can't live there, that's what genocide means to me. I know that's not a legal argument.
