Yes lawmakers should be banned from trading stocks. They can effect the shift of stocks by simply passing laws and who is to say they dont colaborate to pass bills that can effect them and allow them to gain more money

I get that lawmakers need to manage their money like anyone else. But it feels wrong that they can pass laws that move a stock they own. Even if most do not, the temptation and the bad look are enough for me. I would just ban it.
