Music is about human creativity, not just human vocal cords. AI vocals are still directed by people. The artist chooses the lyrics, emotion, style, and meaning. We already accept tools like autotune and digital production, so AI is just another evolution of music technology.
Saying AI can’t feel emotion misses the point. Instruments don’t feel emotion either, but humans use them to create emotional music.
On authenticity, the solution is transparency, not banning AI. If artists disclose AI use, fans can decide for themselves.
And the ‘slippery slope’ argument has been used against almost every new music technology. Recording software, synthesizers, and sampling were all criticized at first, but they expanded music instead of destroying it.
Once again, AI shouldn’t replace artists, it should give artists more creative possibilities.
