The other side will likely point to religious scientists and say the two coexist. But coexistence isn't compatibility. Science runs on testable evidence, provisional conclusions, and a willingness to abandon any claim when data disagree. Faith, by definition, holds convictions without that kind of evidence and treats doubt as a threat rather than a tool. Sure, someone can practice science on weekdays and believe on weekends, but that's compartmentalization, not harmony. The moment faith makes claims about nature, history, or origins, its method clashes with science's. And saying religion sticks to "spiritual" questions just concedes the territory.
