Now, in a country that poses no restrictions on religious choices and beliefs it would be contradictory to even CONJURE an override of the patient's decision due to public health law. Suppose vaccines are mandated, however the person in question maintains they would experience problems due to religion clashing with the mandate. And suppose as we already have, given freedom of religion, it would be contradictory to our ideology, and values, to commit to law that restricts religious choice. Now as to answer your 'accommodation' question, religious needs should be catered for the same way every other need is full stop, not with exceptions to this since the second you do, you have begun contradicting the principle upon which freedom of religion was constructed. Now when law and religion collide, law was CONSTRUCTED by religious and cultural norms, meaning logically, religion should win. The other side asserts law has to win but provides little reason as to why.
