Take a standard weekend festival: the ticket says one price, then booking fees, parking, and food push it way higher. It just feels like a rip off when someone pays that much for a few days. I am not sure how to argue it better, honestly.

Festival prices aren't automatically a rip off just because theyre higher than normal prices. A festival has massive temporary costs, limited capacity, expensive performers, security, infrastructure, insurance and a very short period in which to recover those costs. You're also paying for convenience and the festival experience itself, not simply the underlying product. If the price is clearly disclosed and people voluntarily pay it, ""expensive"" doesn't by itself mean its a ripoff.

To me the real question is whether a normal fan can still afford to go at all, and that answer keeps getting worse. You make a fair point about costs, honestly I cannot argue with it. But the price itself just feels too high.
