Imagine a universe that eventually goes cold and dark, every memory, every love, every achievement erased. If that's all there is, calling life meaningful is like calling a sandcastle important right before the tide. You can feel it matters. But feeling isn't the same as it being true. The common answer is that we create our own meaning. Sure, we can choose projects, relationships, causes. But if meaning is just whatever we invent, then it's subjective preference, not a fact. Someone who decides life is meaningless is equally justified. Without God, there's no standard beyond us to say they're wrong. So yes, people can experience meaning without God. But that's a psychological state, not an objective purpose. And I'd say the debate isn't about whether it feels meaningful. It's about whether it actually is.
