Round 1
HansbmnxyzFOR
If we really look at the communism vs. capitalism debate, a point that is often brought up, is that a communist style of economics, in most cases leads to a dictatorship of not the workers but a small group of people. These then control all means of production instead of the workers which is ultimately a symptom of human greed and egoistic people. If we were to live in a society that focuses on the good of all, with little to no people who yearn for total control, communism would be the perfect form of economics.
kingkennon041AGAINST
While you are correct that in a system without greed communism could surely benefit the economy, everyone chips into different types of jobs, some harder, some easier, however, these jobs are still equally as important. On an individual level, it would be unfair, fair in the definition of people getting what they deserve, for me to be receiving the same as someone who doesn't work as hard. This could also pose the problem that most people will shoot for lower effort jobs with the same pay, creating an imbalance of jobs that are completed and jobs that aren't. It's also a very big point of demotivation of some. In the perfect society, I do admit, it could work, but that would look much more like if people weren't people and didn't feel envy or jealousy, not just greed, which is something that really strips the humanity from a person.
Round 2

Even though I completely agree that it is unfair for people with higher effort jobs to be earning the same as others with lower effort ones, that is exactly what we are able to witness under capitalism today. Stockbrokers or CEO’s of big companies barely work a minute in their day and get more money per week than most people do In their lives. Also by the same logic a single mom working several jobs to care for her kids should be a millionaire since she has a very high effort job. The fairest solution to all would be to distribute means equally so everybody can live a stable life. Also, you mentioned that people would aim for lower effort jobs which (in some cases) might be true, people with a passion for art will remain artists and people with a passion for medicine will be doctors or nurses. Communism in this form really only encourages people to do what they best can, completely disregarding if their job will pay for their life.
