We can agree birth matters enormously, legally and emotionally, and maybe it's even the right line for rights. But the topic says life begins there, and that's where I hesitate. Biologically, the same organism is already growing and responding before delivery and simply continues after it; birth is more like a change of environment. The breath argument also has fuzzy timing, since a newborn may not breathe for several seconds yet is clearly alive. So I see birth as a meaningful convention, not the actual start of life. I'm not certain where the moral line belongs, but this one feels like a marker rather than a beginning.
