Yes. Universal basic income is a good policy. Because it helps to erase the boundaries between the classes. Everybody earns the same basic income, so whether he gets rich or not, solely depends on how he uses his own skills.

Look, the real problem with UBI isn't the idea — it's the math and the fallout. If you hand everyone a monthly check, you haven't fixed the underlying issue: the cost of housing, healthcare, and food. Landlords and corporations will just absorb that money through higher prices. You'd end up with the same struggling families and a massive tax bill, or inflation, or both. The other side will say it reduces poverty, but it doesn't if the system just prices them out again. You have to fix the costs first.

I think the system should adapt itself to the UBI policy. Let's say if the UBI is 10% more than the average income now, then household prices,taxes and everything should stay the same as now. If this is done then, A man can earn more money but has less expenses. So now he has enough money to build himseld assets. So this is how it works, the government fixes the UBI, and it makes sure that expenses adapt to it. i see it as the only way to erase the boundaries of classes and end the pay gap.

They reported feeling slightly happier, but their employment rates didn't budge compared to the control group. That directly kills the "it depends on how you use your skills" argument — the money didn't unlock some hidden ambition. And it didn't erase class boundaries either. Your arguement is completely logical and based on real world experiments. But you have to remember what I said earlier. I said that the system should change and adapt itself to the UBI. Those people couldn't utilise the money properly because those people were financialy illiterate. So, the government has to create a schooling system that makes the students financially literate. Then they will be able to use their skills with their financial skills to build assets. As Robert Kiyosaki told a Singaporean writer to take a course in salesmanship to make her books sell. The whole point is, if you have the skill to make assets with the UBI, you must know how to sell it. A skillful baker is not rich until he learns how to market his bread.

That's the problem with your "expenses adapt" idea. You can't just decree that prices stay the same while handing everyone more money. If the government forces prices to stay flat, that's price controls, not UBI. And price controls cause shortages. The Finland experiment showed the check didn't change behavior.
