How the three rails work
Three ways to earn.
Every dollar comes from a real transaction.
Creator tips
Fans tip you during your debates. Convert to cash any time (subject to identity verification and the 30-day new-creator holdback). You keep 85% of every tip.
Sponsored belts
A brand sponsors a category belt you hold. Monthly split with the platform: you keep 80% (20% founding deal fee; 25% standard). Verdict independence guaranteed — sponsors never see the AI judge pipeline.
Personal brand deals
Brands sponsor you for a season. Base retainer plus a breakout bonus if a debate crosses a viral view threshold. Performance-verified. Editorial control stays with you — you can decline attribution on any specific debate at zero fee.
Earnings vary based on your audience, effort, and market demand. Every rail is funded by external revenue — not by other users' coins.
Why founding
Founding terms lock in for life.
Deal fee for life
On sponsored belts and brand deals, standard creators pay 25%. Founding creators pay 20% — permanently, even after public applications open. Tips are a flat 15% for everyone.
First right of refusal on sponsors
When a brand deal comes in for your category, founding creators see it first. Standard creators only see what's declined.
Direct line to the founder
Private channel with the team. Feedback shapes the roadmap. Real influence, not a feature-request form that disappears.

Common questions
Frequently asked.
How do ArguFight creators actually earn money?+
Creators earn through three rails: creator tips (fans tip during your debates; the creator keeps 85%), sponsored belt shares (a brand sponsors a category belt the creator holds; the platform and creator split the recurring fee), and personal brand deals (brands sponsor a creator directly for a season with a base retainer plus performance bonus). Every rail is funded by external revenue — never platform coin-burn.
What is a "Founding Creator" and what does it get me?+
Founding Creators are the initial cohort of self-activated creators before the broader public launch. There is no application to submit — sign up, flip creator mode in your dashboard, complete identity verification. Founding perks locked in for life: a 20% fee on sponsored belts and brand deals (standard is 25%; tips are a flat 15% for everyone), first right of refusal on brand deals in your category, and a direct feedback channel with the founder that shapes the product roadmap.
Do sponsors have editorial control over my debates?+
No. AI judges rule independently and sponsors never see the verdict pipeline. You choose your debate topics and positions. If a sponsored debate touches a topic you consider sensitive, you can decline sponsor attribution for that specific debate at zero fee to you.
When do I actually get paid?+
Payouts run monthly through a payout provider. New creators have a 30-day rolling holdback on their first payment (industry-standard fraud protection). After that, funds are released monthly with no additional hold. Withdrawal is gated by identity verification and a small activity floor (at least 5 completed debates).
Will you 1099 me at tax time?+
Yes. US-based creators earning over $600 in a calendar year receive a 1099-NEC. Non-US creators complete a W-8BEN and receive a 1042-S with treaty benefits applied where eligible. All tax paperwork is handled automatically by our tax vendor.
What are the requirements to become a creator?+
You must be 18 or older with a verified email. (ArguFight itself is 13+, but the creator program is 18+ — our payout provider requires it, and tax paperwork like W-9/W-8BEN can only be signed by adults.) There is no application — sign up, flip creator mode in dashboard settings, complete identity verification (KYC) via our payout provider, and you're active. Fraud protection lives at withdrawal time (KYC gate + 30-day new-account holdback + 5-debate activity floor), not at the activation step.
