No. The artist is dead, and we have no way of knowing what they would want or what they intended to do with the piece. It disrespects the artist. Even if one were to complete it, it should be done by a person. Art is a uniquely personal thing. You put emotion, personality, and soul when you make art. Using ai to finish can never recreate that and defeats the whole purpose. If the argument is that more people will enjoy it, is that really the point of art or is the point of art that it was created by a person. That it has those emotions embedded.

You see but if they left sketches or notes. We don't know where they were going with that. Maybe fans would want to know how it ended. But the reason why fans liked the artists work in the first place was because of the artist, not the finished product. Their love of the art was created through the artist. The artist made each thing unique and special. Ai cant replicate that. The only thing Ai would be doing is speculating, and people speculate too. It would be giving it one ending of of hundreds of possible endings. We have no idea how the artist would have ended it. The ending wouldn't be real, it would be fake. It would be as good as fan theories. And fans can come up with those on their own.

Closure won't bring the artist's work back. Ai would mess it up and stain it. Every time they hear or see the work they'd know it was ai. Then would it really be the artists work? It wouldn't. It would be just simply a fan finishing it. It would be a cover song or fan fiction.
