Mario is a regular human that only exceeds reality with powerups. Sonic is a talking hedgehog with a crazy amount of speed and still can jump high relative to his size. in mainline mario games, he is always known as the weaker ling, while sonic has insane abilities ever since the very start with no crazy power ups or inventions

The opponent does not explain how mario can handle all situations. Sonic is clearly a more athletic person than mario, as he is faster and slimmer. Sonic also is more calmer and rational in his decisions. For example mario in many games when peach is kidnapped he freak out. My second contention is that sonic has harder levels to pass in game. Originally the levels made from bowser aren't ridiculously hard, while the og sonic levels are confusing and have more terrorizing enemies than a goomba. even with problems, sonic always thinks of a way to figure it out, example sonic movie.

My opponent says he acknowledges sonics speed but DOES NOT elaborate on how marios "stability" is a positive effect. Mario is all-around normal at everything, while sonic is faster and jumps higher both with no powerups. But for exapmle in the sonic movie, he also knows how to be stable and walk normally without speeding. The affirmative WAS NOT able to describe how mario had quick thinking. While he is resistant, he does not think fast at all for decisions. He is completley a person who gets into traps and has to try to save him self.
