This is sometimes delving into the realm of subjective taste of music when seen through the eyes of the listener who is seeking entertainment. However, from the perspective of musicians and artists- I believe that allowing AI-generated songs on streaming platforms eradicates their hard work and undervalues their music. If music can be easily made with AI and put on streaming platforms then what becomes the point of a musical artist. Their talent and effort are undermined. Thus I disagree and believe that AI-generated songs should not be allowed on streaming platforms.

Yes- that is true it is bothersome indeed. When it undermines and undervalues the hard work and natural talent of musicians this becomes problematic. However, perhaps it would also make music more accessible to everyone who often cannot afford to pay high subscription fees as it may reduce the price. In terms of consumer accessibility this may be an advantage.

Also - this gives a lay person the ability to create and produce music. Which as controversial as it may be- may be a great thing. So if I am depressed and experiencing a break up - I can find more attuned songs or even create a song as such and stream it. If I were forced to be for this motion I would use this line of argument. Having said that I still am very very against this as it undermines hard work and talent and just human experience as a whole.
