Yes we should definetly fear them. It is proven that ai can hack accounts, even real protected ones. Its dangerous to have something really smarter than the human race, especially when we created them.

Your example doesnt prove anything, chess engines arent connected to data bases with important information, they were created with the objective of winning humans, and it succeded. Now i could use your example against you: if the human race created such a intelligent machine that could win humans almost 100 percent of the time, what guarantees us that if we create a superintelligent ai with acess to database we would be safe?

Again, my opponent just helped me to develop my point. Search engines DO NOT have acess to important database, such as bank accounts and important information, like ids. even so they are vulnerable to hacking and being manipulated.
